PPS Consulting Group is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced, growth-focused Registered Dental Hygienist who is ready to take the next step in their career by moving beyond clinical hygiene into dental practice consulting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior hygienist who understands not only patient care, but also the operational and business side of dentistry. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping dental practices improve hygiene systems, increase efficiency, strengthen patient retention, and drive measurable growth.

About the Role

As a Hygiene Department Consultant, you will work directly with dentists and leadership teams to assess hygiene department performance and implement strategies that improve:

• Hygiene productivity and scheduling efficiency
• Perio protocols and clinical consistency
• Patient retention and re-care systems
• Treatment flow and doctor handoffs
• Team accountability and workflow systems
• Overall hygiene department profitability and patient experience

This role is ideal for a hygienist who enjoys leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and creating systems that help practices grow.

Qualifications Required:

• Registered Dental Hygienist with 10+ years of clinical experience
• Strong understanding of dental practice operations and business systems
• Proven track record of growing or optimizing hygiene department performance
• Experience with perio protocols, re-care systems, and patient communication
• Highly driven, self-motivated, and organized
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Comfortable analyzing KPIs, schedules, and production metrics
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects
• Preferred:
• Experience in practice management or leadership roles
• Knowledge of dental software systems (Cleardent experience considered an asset)
• Experience coaching or mentoring teams
• Consulting or operational improvement experience
